The POP Difference

The POP Difference

SWEET AND SOUR THAT POPS.

Pineapple sweetness up front, cider-vinegar tang right behind, and whole grains that burst with both. Barrel aging carries the balance into every grain, so each bite tastes the same from the first dip to the last. Yeah, the bowl empties fast.

WHY WE KEEP IT WHOLE.

Most sweet and sour sauces pour smooth. POP keeps every grain whole, smokes it over applewood, then barrel-ages the batch. The fruit soaks in, and every grain pops with sweet, tart flavor.

REAL PINEAPPLE. REAL TOMATO.

Pineapple juice brings the fruit. Tomatoes and cider vinegar bring the sour. Brown sugar rounds it out. Bright, fruity and balanced, the way sweet and sour should taste.

A LITTLE SMOKE, ON PURPOSE.

Every grain is smoked over applewood before it meets the fruit. That quiet smoke adds depth under the sweet and sour. It's the reason one dip turns into five.

SOFT WHOLE GRAIN SWEET & SOUR.

Applewood smoking and barrel aging soften every grain until it's buttery. They burst on your tongue with fruit first, then tang. No grit. Nothing stuck in your teeth.

People expect a gritty bite. They get something closer to bubble tea. Then they reach for another egg roll.

“POP mustard is seriously delicious. It has that perfect balance of tang, sweetness, and a little bite that makes you want to put it on everything. As a chef, I love condiments that can completely wake up a dish without overpowering it—and POP does exactly that. It’s bold, super versatile, and honestly kind of addictive."

Chef Esther Choi

“Most of my cooking begins and ends with mustard. While I love a smooth Dijon, the robust flavors of POP mustard and the fabulous textural crunch make it a unique product I love!”

Frequently asked questions

Are the grains hard?

Not at all. They're soft and buttery. Smoking and barrel aging soften them until they burst on contact, like bubble tea. Most people are surprised by the texture on the first bite.

What does it taste like?

Fruity and sour in equal measure. Pineapple and brown sugar bring the sweet, cider vinegar and tomato bring the sour, and applewood-smoked grains add depth underneath.

How do I use it?

Dip egg rolls, wings and nuggets. Toss it with meatballs. Glaze pork chops or shrimp near the end of cooking. Stir it into a stir-fry. Or eat it off the spoon.

Is it gluten-free?

No. POP Sweet & Sour contains soy and wheat. For gluten-free, POP Smoked is your jar.

How long does it last?

Refrigerate after opening. Best enjoyed within 6 months.
